Know Before You Go
Outdoor Safety Disclaimer
Last updated 3 June 2026
Outdoor cooking and camping carry real risks. Please read this before using your kit.
Assumption of risk
Outdoor activities involve inherent risks, including weather, terrain, fire and equipment failure. By using our products outdoors you accept those risks and take responsibility for your own safety and that of your group.
Weather and terrain
Conditions in alpine and exposed areas can change quickly. Always check the forecast, plan for the worst, and turn back if conditions deteriorate.
Equipment limits
Our shelters and equipment are built for normal outdoor use, not extreme conditions. The Rain-Ready Shelter Kit, for example, should be taken down in high winds and is not designed to withstand storms.
Fuel and fire
Fuel and charcoal are not supplied and must be sourced and used in line with local rules and manufacturer instructions. Follow all fire bans, keep flames away from children, and never leave a flame unattended.
No liability for misuse or weather damage
To the extent permitted by law, Royalburn is not responsible for injury, loss or damage resulting from misuse of our products, failure to follow safety guidance, or damage caused by weather and field conditions.
Be prepared
Carry appropriate clothing, water, first aid and a means of communication. Know the location of the nearest help before you set out.
